Plastic surgery · Bogotá, Colombia · July – September 2026
A surgeon with no online presence, in one of the most competitive search markets in Colombia. Two independent sites, one per language, and complete structured data from day one. Six weeks in: eleven qualified consultation requests and ChatGPT as the top source of new visitors, with 46% of the total.

Numbers
Starting from zero. No domain history, no backlinks, no content. Every foundational decision would carry a lasting cost, for better or worse.
Two audiences that barely overlap. The Bogotá patient and the international medical tourist search differently, ask different questions and worry about different things. A single translated site would serve neither.
A highly competitive niche. Plastic surgery in Colombia is among the most contested search markets in the country, with established competitors holding the obvious positions.
Research first. Separate keyword research per language. Spanish weighs procedure + city combinations and the surgeon's name; English, the "in Colombia" phrases and comparative questions about safety and price.
Two independent sites. Instead of translating, two sites with their own structure, messaging and keywords, each answering its audience's objections.
Content with a purpose. Homepage, high-definition liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck, male Lipo 360, penile girth enhancement, and one strategic article on gynecomastia (4,400+ monthly English searches with weak competition).
Technical foundation. ~0.2 s load time, HTTPS, mobile-first design, complete structured data on every page and a Google Business Profile aligned with the site.
Both domains reached normal crawl status, with 1,023 impressions in the launch period. The main Spanish page averaged position 7.3 for the surgeon's name, and the English site began ranking for "liposuction in colombia", "best liposuction surgeon in colombia" and "lipo 360 colombia" within six weeks, unusual for a new domain.
Eleven real consultation requests through the form, each with name, phone, country and procedure; one of them arrived with utm_source=chatgpt.com, a patient in the United States describing the procedures she wanted. And the finding Google Analytics confirms in its first week of measurement (7–14 September 2026): ChatGPT was the top source of new visitors, 22 of 48 (46%), ahead of direct traffic (17) and Google organic search (5). Of the three contact key events recorded, two came from people who arrived via ChatGPT. Almost a third of visitors were in the United States, the market the English site targets.
The sites were built to answer specific questions, in the patient's exact language, with complete structured data. That made them visible to two readers at once: Google's algorithm and the assistants that decide whom to cite. Search moved behind the answer, and the site was ready for it.Alejandro Muñoz
